'It is not what we know, not what we have become, not what we have fixed within ourselves, but our capacity to be at ease in the midst of life.'
Melissa A. Griffith-Resolute, E-RYT, YACEP
Melissa is both a teacher and perpetual student of yoga, meditation & nourishing practices for mind & body. She was originally educated in the 1990s at the highly esteemed Kripalu Center in Lenox, MA, The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC & Lek Chaiya School of traditional herbal medicine & massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Melissa feels privileged to have also studied under many internationally renowned teachers such as Lek China, Shiva Rea, Elena Brower, Sharon Salzberg & Carrie-Ann Moss. Melissa guides her students to a richer experience of the practices with warmth and sincerity. Her style blends strong technique with soul-stirring insights.
Her extensive training in meditation, wellness coaching and yoga therapy gives her the ability to adapt these nourishing practices to those in a corporate environment as well as those suffering life-altering issues including cancer, heart disease, arthritis and stress-related illnesses. Being a cancer survivor allows her an empathetic approach to helping unwind the mind & body. She currently offers one-on-one sessions (via Skype & Zoom or on-site) and leads group circles where she draws upon the principles of Eastern philosophy, the healing practices of yoga & breath-work, meditation, and therapeutic conversation. Melissa is most passionate about helping others unwind their mind and cultivate ease from the inside out.
